Every Step Counts is an annual Walk & Bike Ride to benefit our mission of providing a lifetime of loving care, guidance, and opportunities for people with developmental disabilities. Gather family and friends and come out to join us! Every dollar raised directly supports the people we serve and their families.

In 2023, Fundraising Surpassed $225,000!
Bello Machre’s biggest fundraising event, Every Step Counts, was held in two locations again this year: at Manchester Valley High School in Manchester, MD, and in front of the new Health & Life Sciences Building at Anne Arundel Community College in Arnold, MD, on June 10, 2023. It was a picture-perfect day full of smiles, positive energy, and good vibes. An estimated 300 people came out to walk and celebrate and donate to the cause. There was no shortage of generosity, as giving surpassed $225,000, making ESC 2023 one for the record books!
“I have not seen or heard this much excitement and enthusiasm surrounding Every Step Counts in a long time,” shares Vice President & COO Julie Provan. “It’s amazing!”
The top three individual fundraisers for ESC 2023 were Lynn Zephir ($4,715), Shane Ireland ($4,600), and Janis Ellis ($3,764).
The top three fundraising teams for ESC 2023 were Tential ($9,945), AA Residential ($6,415), and Westview Drive Home ($4,545).
