Together, more than 450 attendees, 35 volunteers, and 30 sponsors helped raise over $215,000 to support a lifetime of loving care and opportunity for people with developmental disabilities across Maryland.

While the walk and bike ride have concluded, the fundraising campaign remains open, and every gift continues to make a difference.

2026 Recap: Celebrating 35 Years of Every Step Counts!

Bello Machre’s 35th annual Every Step Counts brought hundreds of families, friends, volunteers, sponsors, and community partners together on June 13, 2026, to celebrate the people at the heart of our mission. Thanks to your incredible generosity, we raised more than $225,000 to support people with developmental disabilities.

As Julie Provan, Vice President & Chief Operating Officer, shared, “Every Step Counts is a wonderful reminder of how much can be accomplished when people come together around a shared purpose. It was incredible to see so many families, volunteers, sponsors, and supporters celebrating alongside the people we serve.”

In 2026, Fundraising Surpassed $215,000!

Bello Machre’s 35th Annual Every Step Counts was a tremendous success! Held on June 13th, 2026, at Anne Arundel Community College and Dutterer Family Park, the event brought together more than 450 participants for a morning of walking, biking, games, music, and fun.

Thanks to the generosity of our attendees, supporters, sponsors, and Presenting Sponsor, Commercial Insurance Managers, more than $215,000 was raised to help provide a lifetime of loving care and opportunities for people with developmental disabilities to love and be loved.

“Every Step Counts truly is a joyful celebration that brings together the entire Bello Machre community,” shares Vice President & COO Julie Provan. “It’s a day that perfectly reflects what we’re all about: loving care and opportunity for everyone.”
