Bello Machre Named a 2026 WTOP Washington Top Workplace
Leading Maryland nonprofit recognized among top regional employers for excellence in workplace culture and employee engagement.
Maryland, June 19, 2026 — Bello Machre has been named a WTOP Washington Top Workplace for 2026. Bello Machre was recognized for its commitment to fostering a positive, engaging, and supportive work environment.
The Top Workplaces list is based solely on employee feedback gathered through a third-party survey. This year, nearly 10,000 organizations were invited to participate, with over 130,000 individual employees sharing their perspectives on leadership, career development, and workplace culture. Bello Machre’s inclusion highlights the organization’s commitment to its staff across Maryland.
“Our staff are much more than employees; they are people who have dedicated their hearts to others,” said Dr. Robert T. Ireland, President and CEO of Bello Machre. “Earning this award is significant because it comes directly from our team. It tells me they feel the same love and respect they give to the people we support every single day.”
Bello Machre operates more than 50 community homes and provides a wide range of residential and community-based services for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The survey results emphasized the organization’s ability to maintain a high level of engagement and personal connection.
By prioritizing competitive benefits, professional development, and a culture of appreciation, Bello Machre continues to attract and retain dedicated professionals who are committed to providing a lifetime of loving care to individuals with disabilities. Added Dr. Ireland, “Our staff is the reason individuals and families across Maryland are building lives filled with dignity, connection, and opportunity. I’m incredibly grateful for the family we’ve built here.”
