BetterTogether brings local nonprofits and neighbors into the same room to lift one another up. It gives organizations a chance to share their work, build new connections, and celebrate the partnerships that make our community stronger.
The Story Behind BetterTogether
For more than 21 years, Dawn and David Orso have supported more than 1,500 families in the AFor more than 21 years, Dawn and David Orso have supported over 1,500 families in the Annapolis area through their real estate work, forming deep relationships and a genuine love for the community they serve.
“We have always viewed real estate as our way to stay connected to this wonderful community,” shares David Orso. “BetterTogether is our opportunity to shine a light on the extraordinary work of nonprofits and give them a platform to share their message.”
BetterTogether grew out of that passion. Now in its second year, the event continues to evolve, offering a dedicated space for three local nonprofits to share their stories, build new relationships, and receive support that helps them reach even more people. Its impact is rooted not in size, but in the strong partnerships and community spirit it inspires. Today, BetterTogether remains a celebration of the meaningful work happening across our community.

Sharing our Mission
Bello Machre was honored to be one of three nonprofits featured at this year’s event, joining the Severna Park Community Center and Boomers Inc. During the program, Dr. Robert Ireland spoke about the mission and the extraordinary individuals we support. He shared how our work is grounded in a simple hope that every person has the opportunity to love and be loved. His remarks offered a meaningful glimpse into the care and community that shape Bello Machre.
Special Thank You to Tential
The evening was made even more special by a generous gift from our friends at Tential, who contributed one hundred dollars for every Bello Machre staff member and Tential employee who attended. It was a generous gesture that meant a great deal to our team.
