Celebrating Creativity and Community at Our Fall Vendor Event
Visitors enjoyed handmade art, local vendors, and meaningful moments with the people we support through Community Development Services.
A Community Vendor Event Highlighting CDS Creativity and Talent
The Fall Vendor Event is always a special day, and this year was no exception. The room was filled with friendly conversations, handmade items, and a strong sense of community as guests browsed local products and met the talented individuals we support. It was a welcoming afternoon that highlighted the creativity and connection at the heart of Bello Machre.
Showcasing the Skills and Artwork of Individuals Supported by CDS
Held at the Best Western Hotel in Westminster, the event brought together families, friends, and neighbors for a lively marketplace of local vendors and handmade goods. Guests had the opportunity to shop, learn about our mission, and enjoy the energy that comes with supporting meaningful work.
A highlight of the day was seeing several individuals supported by Bello Machre share their own products, including baked goods, artwork, and handcrafted soaps. Many enjoyed speaking with visitors about their creations, and it was inspiring to see their confidence shine.
Local vendors added to the atmosphere with a wide variety of items for guests to explore. Their participation helped create a warm and engaging space for everyone who attended.
Community Development Services Helps Build Confidence and Community Connections
Community Development Services gives adults with developmental disabilities opportunities to build social, vocational, and creative skills. Events like our Fall Vendor Event help individuals connect with their community and share their talents.
“Inclusion is at the heart of why we started this event,” shares Community Development Services Program Director, Ashlie Pack. “We wanted the entrepreneurs we support to have a chance to build partnerships, be seen, and feel connected here in Carroll County. Watching it grow has been incredible because every year we see more people come out, cheer each other on, and really invest in what our folks are doing. Having outside vendors involved has added even more energy and connection to the day, creating a space where everyone can be part of it. Our hope is that this continues to be a meaningful platform not only for the people we support, but for small businesses throughout the community.”
Brie brings so much heart to her small business, Puzzled Pet Treats. She loves creating simple, healthy snacks for pets and sharing them with the community. When she talks about her work, her pride shines through. As Brie says, “I like telling people about my pet treats business and selling my treats to customers.”
Bello Machre’s Community Development Services (CDS) offer group, community-based day programs for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Each day includes social, recreational, and educational activities that build confidence, foster friendships, and support personal growth while creating meaningful community connections. Transportation is provided for added peace of mind.
