Long-time Bello Machre resident and employee Kathryn Wynkoop shares her story alongside CEO Dr. Robert Ireland on Eye On Annapolis.
When you walk through the front doors of Bello Machre’s Glen Burnie offices on a Tuesday or Thursday, the first person you’ll see is Kathryn Wynkoop, who will always greet you with a warm smile. In addition to welcoming visitors and colleagues, alike, Kathryn helps other employees with tasks such as scanning documents and stocking the office kitchen.
John Frenaye recently interviewed Kathryn and Bello Machre President and CEO Dr. Robert Ireland on the Eye On Annapolis podcast. During the episode, Kathryn discusses her job, involvement in church, and love for her Bello Machre family. She also reflects on her almost 20 years as a beloved member of our residential services program!
Dr. Ireland shares how disability services have evolved during his almost 50 years at the helm and dives into the residential and community services Bello Machre provides to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. He highlights the ongoing work needed to support the community and ways to get involved.
Kathryn’s story is such a poignant example of Bello Machre’s mission of offering people with developmental disabilities the services, opportunities, and support they need to live full, independent, rich lives.
