Bello Machre Awarded $30,000+ AED Grant from Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation
Grant is part of more than $107 million awarded by the Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation® to support public safety across the U.S.
Glen Burnie, MD (April 28th, 2026) – As organizations continue to prioritize health and safety across their communities, having the right equipment in place is essential. The Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation has recognized this need and recently awarded Bello Machre a $30,436 grant to purchase ten Lifepak CR2 Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs), along with cabinets and accessories.
The addition of these AEDs will strengthen emergency preparedness across Bello Machre’s homes and programs, ensuring staff are equipped to respond quickly and effectively in the event of a cardiac emergency. Having immediate access to this equipment can make a critical difference and helps provide an added layer of safety for the people Bello Machre supports.
“We are incredibly grateful to the Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation and the Firehouse Subs restaurant in Glen Burnie for this support,” said Dr. Robert T. Ireland. “This is more than equipment. It’s an investment in the safety and well-being of the people we support and the staff who care for them each day. It helps ensure we’re prepared in the moments that matter most.”
For more than 20 years, charitable donations have powered the Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation’s mission to support first responders and public safety organizations nationwide. Since 2005, the Foundation has awarded more than 7,200 grants totaling over $107 million to public safety organizations.
