Ribbon Cutting Ceremony Grand Opening for
New Fully Wheelchair Accessible Community Home
ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY, MARYLAND: Bello Machre will hold its Grand Opening and Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for its new Spencer Road Home on Thursday, April 26, 2012 from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. The ceremony will take place rain or shine at 7803 Spencer Road, Glen Burnie, MD 21060. Please call for directions and parking instructions.
This community event will bring together state representatives and dignitaries, board members, local businesses, employees, friends and neighbors. Dr. Robert Ireland, President and CEO, commented, “This new home represents the future for people with developmental disabilities supporting independence, safety and loving care that only Bello Machre can provide.”
Our guests for the event will include, Senator James DeGrange, Anne Arundel County Council Chairperson Derek Fink, Delegate Steven Schuh, Bello Machre Board President Janis Ellis, President and CEO of Bello Machre Dr. Robert T. Ireland, and many others.
Bello Machre’s new Spencer Road home is a state-of-the-art, fully-accessible home with features including: automatic door openers, wheelchair ramps, lowered accessible windows and countertops, and a barrier-free lift system to gently carry the individuals from the bedroom to the bathroom.
Our community partners who helped make this project possible include: Cattail Construction, North Arundel Savings Bank, the Annapolis Civitan #177, Gavigans Home Furnishings, and our many friends and supporters who helped make this project possible. Representatives from these organizations will also be in attendance.
There is a tremendous need for the specialized services and wheelchair accessible homes in our community. To help meet these needs and prepare for the next generation of service, Bello Machre is building at least one new fully-accessible home each year.
