Samantha’s Story Told on CBS Baltimore
Samantha tells CBS Baltimore her journey with Bello Machre and SCLogic.
Samantha Aguilar, a member of our Meaningful Day Services, was featured on CBS Baltimore earlier this month as she talked about her journey finding meaningful employment.
Samantha works at SCLogic, an Annapolis-based logistical software provider. When a client calls SCLogic for technical support, Samantha’s voice is the first one they’ll hear. It’s the human voice on the other end of the phone that clients appreciate so much, instead of an automated robotic message.
Bello Machre’s Employment Services assist adults with developmental disabilities find meaningful career opportunities in the community. Services also include job coaching, job developmental, and on-site training and support.
“I really do enjoy working here,” explains Samantha. “I enjoy working with everyone around me.”
Beyond her responsibilities on the client support line, Samantha also monitors the nine dogs that roam the SCLogic office space.
A key facilitator in making this opportunity possible is SCLogic’s Founder & CEO, Mike Saldi. Thanks to Saldi, SCLogic has had an active partnership with Bello Machre, participating at annual events, sponsoring fundraisers, and advocating for Bello Machre’s mission. Mike Saldi also acts as Vice Chair on Bello Machre’s Board of Directors.
“It’s actually putting people to work that really, really want to work,” expresses Saldi.
Bello Machre is extremely grateful for the businesses and partners that step up to create opportunities for the people we support.
