Bello Machre’s 41st Annual Golf Tournament at Queenstown Harbor Golf Course was a day to remember. More than 140 golfers joined us on Wednesday, September 10th, helping raise over $110,000 in support of the individuals and families we serve.
“Our Annual Golf Tournament is about so much more than a day on the course,” shared Bello Machre President & CEO Dr. Robert Ireland. “Thanks to the generosity of our sponsors and partners, we can continue providing a lifetime of loving care for people with developmental disabilities.”
This year’s success was made possible through the dedicated support of our sponsors. Golfers enjoyed perfect weather and plenty of fun along the way. Several players came close to the $25,000 hole-in-one challenge, but no one claimed the prize this year. Spirits were high as laughter and cheers echoed across the course.

About Bello Machre
Bello Machre, founded in 1972, means “home of my heart” in Gaelic. It is a non-profit organization with offices in Anne Arundel and Carroll Counties, MD, that provides a lifetime of loving care, beautiful wheelchair-accessible homes, and community support to people living in its 50 community homes located throughout Central Maryland as part of our Residential/Group Home Services.
Bello Machre also provides Personal Supports Services to hundreds of children and adults in their own homes. Respite care is an add-on services to Personal Supports during family hospitalizations, emergencies, and vacations. Our caring staff is available during this time for 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Meaningful Day Services provide community-based day services, plus employment services for people with developmental disabilities. The Hertha and Jesse Adams Ray of Hope Program offers assistance with expenses such as specialized summer camps, physical therapy, and adaptive equipment.
